VSJF Announces $125,000 in Algae-to-Biofuels Grant Funding
Following a successful 2-day conference on Algae & Energy in the Northeast, the Vermont Sustainable Jobs (VSJF) announces that grants totaling $125,000 will be made available for their Algae Feedstock Analysis R&D program. These funds are the second in a series of competitive rounds of grant making that the VSJF will be conducting in 2010 as part of their Vermont Biofuels Initiative (VBI).
VSJF is seeking proposals that will lead to the development of improved methods and practices for the cultivation, harvest, and/or processing of microalgae as a biofuel feedstock. Any organization, farm, academic institution, individual or business that maintains an active and physical presence within Vermont is eligible to apply for these funds.
The deadline for proposal submission for this RFP is May 17, 2010.
